In 2010 OCI received the Phase II of a Navy Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) award. As a result of this award OCI has been adding features and enhancements to OpenDDS. These include:

• DDS compliance improvements, including support for Ownership Profile, Content-subscription Profile, and Object Model Profile (DCPS portions, only)
• OpenDDS Software Development Kit (SDK) featuring Eclipse-based modeling and C++ code generation
• Updated documentation and training to include the new SDK
• Enhancements to OpenDDS run-time support tools, including the Wireshark dissector and service moniting tool (odds_monitor)
• Transport enhancements to improve performance and move towards DDS Interoperability Wire Protocol (DDSI) compliance
